July 2012 Training Schedule

Remember these are just guidelines... not set in stone.

Most of you should be running 3-4 times week at this point. If you are a strong JV or Varsity runner, you should be running 5-6 times a week. And even if you can only get 15-20 minutes of running in, that's OK! It's more important that you train your body to think of running as part of your daily routine; pretty soon you will crave exercise and feel "off" when you don't get a run in. That's a good sign that you are making the transition from "jogger" to "runner". I only had time to get 18 minutes in this morning, but I ran it hard and I felt great afterward... ready to attack the day!

Cross Country Bring Your Shoes

All members of the Cross Country Team Working at Kenwood make sure to bring your running shoes as there is a chance you might do a bit of running doing your job.

Water and Table help needed

We need a few bodies today(Tuesday) at 1:30 to meet at Culligan Water to help load water bottles for the Kenwood Footrace tomorrow, July 4. We will then go over to the school to load tables into the truck. Culligan is located just north of College on Cleveland on the east side. You should be done by 2PM. Thanks

Kenwood Footrace Volunteer Carpools

Want to volunteer for Kenwood, but don't have a ride? Are you a parent/kid who wants to help drive others? Then you should read this!

I will be organizing carpools to the race. We will meet at Ridgway swim center at 6 AM so we can arrive to Kenwood on time to help at 6:30. Yes, it is early, but it's a ton of fun once you wake up, and it's a quick and easy fundraiser for our team!

If you can drive or would like a ride, please send me a Facebook message with the number of available seats. You can also email me at jpeck226 AT gmail.com. I'll post ride assignments the day before.

GO PANTHERS!
