Today we had our farewell to the 2011 Cross Country season. Great spirit and great fun. Great people. I believe that defines us. For 4 years our spirit has been high and soaring even higher. Today we made sure to celebrate that.

Thank you freshmen for being just that. Fresh faces, fresh legs, and fresh attitude. You did well.
Thank you sophomores for being a bit wiser, a bit more mature and a bit more responsible. You did quite well.
Thank you juniors for being a lot wiser, more responsive and much more responsible. You did very very well.
Thank you seniors for growing so large in numbers and stature. Thank you for your spirit that led our team to so many great moments this season. Thank you for your extraodinary leadership. Thank you for your unbelieveable uniqueness as individuals. Thank you for 4 memorable years that cannot ever be forgotten and the happiness that goes along with those 4 years. I could never have hoped for a greater group of runners to be the senior class in my 20th year at Santa Rosa High School. I could never ask for a greater group of people to share this year with me. Thank you. I will never forget you.
